Residential projectWhy homeowners choose roller doors
Sectional and tip-up doors swing out or hang from the ceiling. A roller door doesn't: the curtain coils into a drum directly above the opening, which makes it ideal for short driveways, garages with low ceilings, carports converted to lock-ups and outbuildings where there is no room for tracks. Interlocking steel slats are much harder to force than a tip-up panel, and a bottom lock or motor with anti-lift adds another layer of security.
What we install at homes
- Single and double garage roller doors
- Roller doors for storerooms, workshops and outbuildings
- Garage conversions and carport lock-ups

- Replacement of old, dented or noisy roller doors
Finishes that suit your house
Choose plain galvanised steel for a hard-wearing industrial look, colour-coated steel in charcoal, grey, white or brown to match your windows and gutters, or lighter aluminium slats for a quieter, smoother operation. We match the hood, guides and bottom rail so the door looks like part of the house rather than an add-on.
Manual or motorised?
Smaller residential doors work well as manual push-up doors with a spring-assisted barrel. For daily use we recommend a motor with a remote, an anti-lift lock and a manual override so you can still open the door when the power is off. Existing manual roller doors can usually be motorised without replacing the curtain.
Door types available
galvanised steel roller shutters, colour-coated roller doors, aluminium roller shutters, perforated & vision roller shutters, roller security grilles, serving hatch & counter shutters, roller doors with wicket (pedestrian) door, manual & chain-operated roller doors, motorised roller shutter doors.

Frequently asked
Will a roller door fit my garage?
Most likely. A roller door needs a small amount of headroom above the opening for the drum, usually much less than a sectional or tip-up door needs. We measure on site and confirm before quoting.
Can you motorise my existing garage roller door?
In most cases, yes. If the curtain and barrel are in good condition we fit a suitable roller door motor, remotes and an override. If the curtain is badly dented we will tell you whether a repair or replacement makes more sense.
Are roller doors secure enough for a home?
Steel roller doors are among the most secure garage doors available. Interlocking slats, steel guides, a bottom-rail lock and a motor with anti-lift make them very hard to force open.
